Handmade taiko (Japanese)
(Japanese) You know, I was surprised that the taiko had to be handcrafted. I was really shocked and wondered if I could ever make a taiko. It never occurred to us that a taiko could be made out of a wine barrel without having to buy expensive (commercially manufactured) taikos until the folks in L.A. showed us how and I studied hard. Until I saw what they had done, making taikos by ourselves never entered my head.
