Seth Jacobowitz


Seth Jacobowitz is Interim Resident Director at the Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies. He is the author of Writing Technology in Meiji Japan: A Media History of Modern Japanese Literature and Visual Culture (Harvard Asia Center, 2015) and translator of Brazilian author Fernando Morais’ Dirty Hearts: The History of Shindo Renmei (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022). He is currently working on his next book, Japanese Brazil: Immigrant Literature and Overseas Expansion, 1908-1945.
