DESCRIPTION:Take a moment to contemplate the beauty and spirit of Japan thr
 ough a bowl of tea. At this special public tea ceremony\, we pull back the
  curtain on the traditions of the Omotesenke school of tea\, which was fou
 nded over 450 years ago by tea master Sen Rikyu. Learn about the etiquet
 te\, history and modern practice of the tea ceremony\, and enjoy an on-sta
 ge demonstration by tea masters from Omotesenke headquarters in Kyoto. 
 The program will also include a special musical performance by award-winni
 ng violinist Keila Wakao.\n\n<em>Participants will enjoy a seasonal </em>
 wagashi <em>and </em>matcha<em> in the Japan Society auditorium.</em>\
 n<strong>Note</strong>: Due to unforeseen circumstances\, Keila Wakao will
  no longer be able to perform at this event.
