The Democracy Center presents the Los Angeles premiere of Out of the Picture, the first feature-length documentary about the lives and work of art critics living through a precarious time for art and media. The film includes essential writers and thinkers like independent arts journalist Carolina Miranda who spent about a decade at the Los Angeles Times, The Times’ Christopher Knight, photographer Catherine Opie, and performance artist Ron Athey.
