Frances Hatsuyo Onishi

My mother named me Frances after a nurse who helped her in the hospital where I was born. She told me that the nurse was so nice and thoughtful, and she hoped I would be like her.

My middle name is a combination of my mother's name - Hatsumi and my father's name - Yoshito.

Both of my brother's names are also combinations of my parents' names: 

"Yoshimi" and "Tsuyoshi". My dad "created these names for us.
