In Germany, we occupied German Air Force buildings in town of Hersfeld.
Food was good.

Most vivid memory of military experience
Crossing the North Atlantic Ocean in winter with giant waves and floating ice hitting the troop ship is one of things I remember.
Also the despair of the German people.
