Living conditions
Quonset huts - showers - meals boring - entertainments - none.

Second tour, all modern conditions - all of Tokyo available for entertainment.

Most vivid memory of military experience
I interpreted for a General investigating the shooting of a Russian Lt. and a Sergeant by the South Korean Police on the 38th parallel.

Second tour: A top secret courier from GHQ came with a request for 69 copies of a photograph. The photo turned out to be a girl with her tit caught in an old fashioned wringer.

Missed most whilst in the military
Fresh vegetables and milk.

Second tour, my wife.

Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
There are many that live in very primitive conditions and are never exposed to many things we take for granted in the U.S.A. Enjoyed tour of Japan, but there are many cultural differences between American-Japanese and Japanese.
Additional information
Was part of the 441st CIC Det. swim team that won first place in the Far East Command Meet.
