Children's Day Celebration at The Japan Society

Children and adults are invited to enjoy Children’s Day through a play of Japan’s classic children’s stories Peach Boy (momotaro ) and Golden Boy (kintaro ), and song and dance related to the festival by Theatre Arts Japan – KIDS- , directed by Eriko Ogawa . Following the presentation, participants will enjoy traditional snacks (kashiwa mochi ) and create their own samurai helmets (kabuto ) and carp streamers (koinobori ), traditional Children’s Day decorations.
Both boys and girls are welcome to participate.
Recommended for children ages 3-10 and accompanying adults.
$20 per family (up to 5 members), $10 per family for Japan Society members
