The hand-made Tea house (Japanese)
(Japanese) About this house—though my husband is not an architect, he is an engineer, and so when we bought this house, he built a Tea Ceremony room for me. I though he might have some trouble [with the cultural/aesthetic details] because he is a Nisei, but he carefully studied from books on his own, and built a fantastic Tea room. And so, the first ever Tea room in Los Angeles was created. Since then, several of our students have used this Tea room as a model for making their own Tea rooms, and now there are about 30 of them in which they teach and practice Tea.
