Slept in hole with snow & mud.
Got water in helmet wherever running water was available.
No entertainment.
Meals were terrible.
Also clothes we wore without changing.
Lived like pigs.

I think 442nd Combat team did a great job. It benefitted the rest of the Japanese who were put in camps and who moved more freely and found better jobs.

Información adicional

After I got discharged from Army 1945, I went back same job in 1946 as chief engineer for the Coast Guard and retired in 1980. I'm taking it easy and enjoying my grand-children also get together with my buddies in Hawaii and Las Vegas.
