Hirochika Nakamaki
He completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Humanities at the University of Tokyo, and is a Doctor of Literature. After working as a research fellow at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, he has been conducting research as a staff member at the National Museum of Ethnology since 1977. Currently, as a professor in the Department of Ethnocultural Studies, he is conducting anthropological research on Nikkei religions and corporate religions, as well as shamanism in the Brazilian Amazon and calendar culture.

近代における日本人の海外渡航は幕末からはじまった。移住を目的とする渡航について言えば、出稼ぎから定住へとおおきく推移していった。いまでこそ デカセギといえば南米の日系人が日本に来てはたらくことをもっぱら指しているが、かつては冬のあいだ雪国から都会に出て労働に従事することや、海外で一旗 揚げることが、出稼ぎの部類に属していた。そして海外では出稼ぎのつもりがいつのまにか定住にかわってしまうこともめずらしくなかった。最近では、デカセ ギの日系人が日本での定住ないし長期滞在をかれら…
