Living conditions

While attached to Headquarters, I worked with a half dozen officers and about 24 enlisted men. We slept in tents and had a shower house, and ate very well on chinaware. For entertainment, we had movies every night, played cards and checkers or wrote letters.

The amount of war casualties. I saw them by the train-load every day.

Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?

What the Communist were doing to the innocent people in Korea, who really did not have any freedom for most of their lives. We Americans should be proud of our country and the freedom it provides.
