Color silent amateur footage (1940's-early 1950's) taken by Terminal Island resident Ben Fukuzaki, primarily of the fishing industry in and around Fish Harbor, Terminal Island, and San Pedro, California.
This segment shows footage from the annual Fisherman's Fiesta in San Pedro, California; views from the crow's nest of dozens of decorated fishing boats and crowds of specatators at the docks; a fishing boat with the banner "Sea Miners" pulls into the channel, its stern decorated like a desert landscape and carrying a burro and costumed riders; boats decorated for the festival (00:40).
